| You guys! I am getting so good at tennis! My dad was nice enough to teach me the rules and get me started and I'm on a roll! I didnt hit the ball over the fence at all last time... okay maybe once. or twice. but I really am getting better! It's soo much fun! This is what I look like when I play. With fans and everything. It's awesome.
Actually, we really do have fans. These little boys ride their bikes by the tennis courts and stop and watch and sometimes they clap. I dont think they have ever watched tennis before, or they would not be clapping. But it makes me feel better anyway. My cousin and I played tennis this weekend and we made up our own rules and called it "mini tennis." It was amazing! We were really good. But then again, you tend to be good at things when you make up your own rules. Something else we did! :
Horse Races!! We got to go to Remington Park and I left with 12 dollars more than I started with! It was soo much fun! We bet on every race and I got a sunburn. woop woop I'd say my weekend was overall fabulous. Hope everyone else's was just as wonderful. I love and miss you all! | | |
| So I watched American Idol for the first time this season, and it was really good. Kelly Clarkson will forever be my favorite though. She is just amazing. And I watched the Bachelor 'The Final Rose.' Also a good one. But let me tell you why I am a loser. The only thing on my to-do list for the day was to take back my library book. But I decided that it was too much work- I live a block away- so I decided to wait until tomorrow and take the one day late fee. That is the definition of a loser.
But I did go to the lake this weekend! After spending a few days with Heidi and Farmhouse friends, Gary invited Heidi and I to the lake and we had tons of fun. Except that it was so windy that we almost blew away. Oh, and I almost died when Gary threw me off the jet ski. Not really, but it was close. And by close, I mean I have a bruise on my bum.
I miss my friends very much. I'm not kidding. But let me tell you something. In my spare time, I have been watching a lot of news. Probably more than anyone should. And there sure is an early stir on the upcoming presidential election. I think it's a little crazy myself, because there are a heck of a lot of things that are going to happen between now and then. There are a lot of things that I get really angry about when I watch politics on television, which is bad for my blood pressure, but I just want to say one thing. I am voting for George Bush. And I love out troops. And I am proud of us. weeee. And before you vote, just be informed. That is all I ask. Thank you.

| Summer is rainy today! And nobody will run around in the rain with me. *sniff* Not that anyone ever ran in the rain with me when I was at college, but I miss my friends. Terribly. So I've taken up reading lately and that's about all. Oh! I'm going to apply for 2 jobs today! As a waitress at two country clubs. My sister says anything having to do with serving food is a bad idea, but I'm all about food. I think I will like it. Now, I've never worked in food service before, so it could be interesting. But I decided that I am a fast learner and I'm a fun girl, so what have they got to lose?? I guess we'll find out. P.S. I'm thinking about cutting my hair off. Like Jennifer Aniston's used to be. | Okay you guys! I have to admit, I almost decided to quit xanga for good. I know, I know. Everyone that I even remotely have any connection with is apparently addicted, and I respect this. I started in full force, but I hit some brick walls at about 80 miles per hour. I was so excited and everyone I knew had xanga! I wanted to go all out. After trying really hard to change my color, I was inspired by several sites and wanted to make my words move, but not my background. I wanted to have music and flashing lights. I wanted a new profile picture! But I hadnt yet learned the tricks of the trade, and I get frustrated easily when I can't make things work. So I decided to stop posting. People would say to me... "So I saw your xanga site..." and that was it. Nothing like, "Wow your site was amazing. I was truly inspired," which is more of what I'm looking for. So I said to myself, "Jen. You've got to start from the bottom and work your way up." And so that's where I am right now. At the very bottom. And I'm happy with my color. I am. And what more could a girl ask for than a picture of Norah Jones?? Nothing. Like cold water to a weary soul is good news from a distant land. Now, you're probably thinking, "How does that line of wisdom apply to this posting?" Well, it really doesn't, but I'm sure we can all use a little good news in our daily lives, so take it and do with it what you will.
